Everton head to Sunderland on Boxing Day boasting a 13-match unbeaten run against the Black Cats.

Sunderland will be looking to end a 13-match winless run against Everton on Boxing Day.

Recently-appointed Black Cats manager Martin O'Neill may have to do without the services of Connor Wickham. The young striker is currently struggling with a knee injury that forced him to miss Wednesday's win over Queens Park Rangers.

Reported Chelsea transfer target Jack Rodwell will be absent for the visiting Toffees with a hamstring complaint.

After several substitute appearances, boss David Moyes may be tempted to hand Royston Drenthe a starting role at the Stadium of Light.

The Dutch international provided the assist for Leon Osman as Everton beat Swansea City 1-0 in mid-week.
