Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill praises their "deserved" win.

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has insisted that his side deserved all three points after their 3-2 win over QPR on Wednesday evening.

Wes Brown's last-minute header secured victory for Sunderland, and O'Neill admitted that he was delighted with his team's performance.

"I am naturally absolutely delighted. We had a great response tonight. At 2-0, we were in a great position to win and eventually we won it twice," O'Neill told Sky Sports News.

"But all's well that ends well and we won the game. And given the number of chances we had, I thought that we deserved to do so."

O'Neill has won two out of three league matches since taking over from Steve Bruce earlier this month.
