Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is pleased with his side's commitment as they end their recent poor run with a 2-0 home win over Swansea.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was pleased with his side's commitment after their 2-0 win against Swansea City at the Britannia Stadium.

Goals from Matthew Upson and Peter Crouch were enough to end a run of four consecutive league defeats for the Potters.

"[Swansea] are a very good side who keep the ball exceptionally well, and that can often frustrate the opposition who lose their discipline and shape," Pulis told reporters.

"So it was important we didn't fall into that trap and that is credit to the players for the discipline they showed and the way they worked their socks off.

"The effort and commitment was first class. We kept pressing and pressing them because they're very patient on the ball and they do it very well."

Stoke are now 12th in the Premier League table after the win.
