St Johnstone stun Rosenborg with a 2-1 aggregate victory over the Norwegians in the Europa League.

St Johnstone have pulled off one of the most memorable victories in their history with a 2-1 aggregate defeat of Norwegian side Rosenborg.

Young striker Stevie May was on target in the second leg of the Europa League tie as the teams drew 1-1 at McDiarmid Park.

Tommy Wright's side won the first leg in Norway courtesy of a Frazer Wright strike, but things looked nervy for the Perth outfit when Alexander Soderlund broke the deadlock four minutes into the return fixture.

However, May netted a vital equaliser with just over 20 minutes on the clock to set up a meeting with Beluarusian side FC Minsk.
