Tottenham Hotspur have turned down an approach from Wigan Athletic for winger Giovani Dos Santos, according to BBC Sport.
The two clubs, who meet in Premier League action at White Hart Lane tonight, failed to reach an agreement for a loan deal after Spurs demanded a fee upfront.
The North London outfit have stated that they are prepared to let the Mexican leave this month.
Spanish clubs Villarreal and Granada were both rumoured to be interested in Dos Santos's services but failed to agree a fee with Harry Redknapp's side.
The 22-year-old joined Spurs in 2008 from Spanish giants Barcelona.
