Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is reportedly set to stay with the club this summer.
The 24-year-old is believed to have asked to leave the club before Tuesday's 11pm deadline, as he is seemingly not in the immediate plans of new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ndombele has not played a single minute for Spurs so far this season, as Nuno decided not to involve a player whose future remained uncertain.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham's managing director Fabio Paratici has been in contact with several clubs over a proposed permanent or temporary move for Ndombele.
However, talks have failed to progress and so the midfielder is now expected to stay in North London this summer.
It is understood that Ndombele was eyeing a move to join either Barcelona or Real Madrid, though both La Liga clubs did not consider his addition as a priority in this window.
Ndombele has made 75 appearances for Spurs since making his club-record transfer from Lyon two years ago, scoring eight goals.
