Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Real Madrid for the signing of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek as a potential summer target.

Mauricio Pochettino has made just one signing during the last three transfer windows, but the Argentine will make additions ahead of the next campaign.

Spurs are well stocked for creative options, but according to the Daily Mail, an approach could be made for Netherlands international Van de Beek.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an excellent campaign with the Dutch giants, and the playmaker netted the decisive goal as Ajax beat Spurs in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Real Madrid are currently regarded as the favourites to sign Van de Beek, who could potentially cost in the region of £60m.
