Tottenham Hotspur are keen on bringing Corinthians midfielder Paulinho to White Hart Lane, according to reports.
Spurs have decided to widen their search for a new midfielder after being told that they must pay £21m for Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.
According to reports in Italy, that has resulted in manager Andre Villas-Boas taking an interest in the 24-year-old, who is also being targeted by Inter.
The Brazil international has openly stated that he would be keen on a move to the San Siro, but the Serie A club have yet to table a bid for the player.
Paulinho netted Brazil's equaliser against England in their 2-2 draw earlier this month.
