Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier claims that he has agreed to leave the club as he eyes a summer return to Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier has confirmed that he is looking to leave the club this summer.

The Ivory Coast international largely kept Matt Doherty out of the team in 2020-21 and started 19 Premier League games for Spurs, although he was plagued by injuries throughout the campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be keen on re-signing Aurier ahead of the 2021-22 season, and the defender has claimed that he has agreed a departure from Spurs as he eyes a return to the Parc des Princes.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Aurier said: "Everyone is aware that if I wanted to extend my deal at Tottenham, I would've done so already. I'm not going to do it in six months.

"I've reached the end of a cycle and it's time to look elsewhere. The two parties, Tottenham's board and my agents, have agreed upon the conditions. We'll see after that.

"I've never hidden my desire to return to PSG one day. It's the club of my heart, the one that I support and I feel free to speak about it.

"But I don't want people to think that I'm stuck on them and I'm not closing the door on anyone. But if the club were to make an offer this summer, it's sure that PSG would be my first choice."

Aurier's existing deal at Spurs is due to expire in 12 months' time, and an exit this summer would see him depart with eight goals and 17 assists from 110 games under his belt.
