Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele's representatives have reportedly been in regular talks with Barcelona over an end-of-season transfer.
The £55m club-record signing has struggled to adapt in his first season with Tottenham, starting just six times in all competitions since Jose Mourinho was appointed in November.
Mourinho has criticised Ndombele for his poor fitness record, with the Frenchman now fourth in the central midfield pecking order at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite his struggles in the Premier League, however, L'Equipe reports that Barca, who wanted to sign the 23-year-old from Lyon last summer, remain interested.
Barca are said to be working to strike a deal with both the player and his club, though the ball is firmly in Tottenham's caught as Ndombele is under contract until 2025.
Meanwhile, it has been suggested that Paris Saint-Germain are unlikely to move for the ex-Lyon star as sporting director Leonardo is already looking at alternative options.
