Spurs defender Younes Kaboul has ruled out leaving the club this summer, despite their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul has ruled out leaving the club this summer.

Kaboul, 26, still has four years left on his current contract, and is looking forward to the challenge of impressing new manager Andre Villas-Boas.

There had been speculation that the France international could be looking to move on following Spurs' failure to qualify for the Champions League, but Kaboul has denied these rumours.

"Could missing out on the Champions League see me move? It would be very difficult for me to do so," Kaboul told L'Equipe.

"I have four years remaining on my contract at Tottenham and, more importantly, I am happy here, and in England. There is a new challenge here and a new coach who has been working very well.

"He has his views on how he wants us to play and considering the players we have here, I am sure it will work."

Tottenham's first game of the season comes against Newcastle United on August 18.
