Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to dish out a major fine to Harry Kane following his failure to report back to the club's training complex.
The England captain - who has been enjoying an extended break after leading the Three Lions to the Euro 2020 final this summer - was due to arrive back at Tottenham for pre-season coronavirus testing on Monday morning.
However, Kane allegedly failed to turn up amid persistent speculation surrounding a move to Manchester City, and he is now set to face the consequences.
According to the Evening Standard, Spurs have been left disappointed with Kane's conduct, and the striker will be hit with a 'significant' fine from the North London club.
The report adds that Kane did not make contact with Tottenham to explain his absence, and it remains to be seen if the England skipper will agree to return to the club at all.
The 28-year-old struck four times for England during the European Championship and boasts 221 goals in Tottenham colours, but he is still waiting for the first major trophy of his career.
