Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to press ahead with their efforts to sign Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez.
Despite having replaced Antoine Griezmann with Joao Felix, manager Diego Simeone still wants to make significant changes to his first-team squad ahead of the new campaign.
Atletico have been linked with a number of attack-minded players, including Rodriguez and Eriksen, who are available to leave Real and Tottenham Hotspur for the right price.
According to Marca, Atletico would prefer to bring in Rodriguez as a result of his lower asking price, said to be in the region of €40m (£35.99m).
Reports have suggested that Eriksen could cost in excess of €60m (£53.98m), even though the Dane has just a year remaining on his contract with the Premier League outfit.
Napoli could provide competition for Atletico should they choose to try to sign Rodriguez in the coming weeks.
