West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis pleased with second-half display

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis praises his side for their second-half performance against Tottenham Hotspur.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has declared that he is pleased with the way his players responded to going a goal down during their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Baggies boss admitted that Spurs dominated the match, but was quick to praise his side for their second-half display.

"I thought they came out of the blocks. Tottenham dominated the game and we sat back while they danced around us at times. The best thing was we came in 1-0 down at half time. It became a more open game in the second half and I am really pleased with the players. We lack quality at times but the workrate was good," he told Sky Sports News.

"You come to places like this and you can be on the back foot before the game even starts. But we are fit and we can cause people problems. We can make it a game with good organisation and players giving it a go.

"Tottenham are a very, very good side. Dembele was outstanding today. They are a young team as well and they will only get better."

The result leaves second-placed Spurs seven points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City and gives the Foxes the chance to wrap up the title with victory at Manchester United this weekend.
