Team News: Newcastle United name unchanged side for Tottenham Hotspur trip

Steve McClaren names the same starting lineup that beat Liverpool last time out for his side's match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Steve McClaren has named the same starting lineup that beat Liverpool last time out for his side's match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Georginio Wijnaldum added to a Martin Skrtel own goal last weekend, so he continues in midfield alongside the oft-injured Siem de Jong, while Papiss Cisse continues to be preferred to Ayoze Perez up front.

Meanwhile, there is one change to the Tottenham side that drew with West Bromwich Albion last time out, as Tom Carroll comes in for Moussa Dembele.

Mauricio Pochettino put out a much-changed side for the 4-1 win over AS Monaco in the Europa League earlier this week, with only five of this afternoon's starting lineup having also started on Thursday.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Carroll, Dier, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Davies, Trippier, Bentaleb, Chadli, Onomah, Son

Newcastle United: Elliot; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Colback, Wijnaldum, De Jong; Cisse
Subs: Darlow, Sterry, Mbabu, Gouffran, Thauvin, Perez, Mitrovic
