Harry Kane: 'Football not all about money'

Harry Kane insists that he will remain at Tottenham Hotspur because he 'loves the club', despite the lure of being offered higher wages at a rival side.

Harry Kane has claimed that he intends to remain at Tottenham Hotspur for the long term, even if offered bigger wages by a rival club.

The England international, who enjoyed another prolific campaign last time out, is under contract in North London for the next five years after agreeing fresh terms in December.

Kane is said to be currently earning less than half of Romelu Lukaku's £250,000-a-week wages at Manchester United, a side he has been linked with in the past, but he insists that his head will not be turned by the prospect of earning a larger salary at another club

"Football for me isn't about money. I'm at Tottenham because I love this club and I see it going in the right direction," The Sun quotes him as saying.

"I feel we are one of the best teams in England and Europe, so I'm excited for the future ahead. Everyone knows I'm a Spurs fan and that's where I want to be for the foreseeable future. I have a great relationship with the manager and the fans.

"At the end of the season I expect us to be up there fighting for that title again and hopefully we can turn some of our ambition into wins."

Kane netted another 29 Premier League goals last season to top the scoring charts for the second year running.
