Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson is pleased with his side's fighting spirit following their 2-2 draw at Chelsea in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has praised the character of his side following their 2-2 draw at Chelsea in the Premier League.

Spurs came from behind twice at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night to earn a point that has kept alive their hopes of Champions League qualification.

"We showed our fighting spirit again," Dawson told Sky Sports News. "We gave them an early leg up and that was disappointing, but we showed the character and the ability we've got.

"The draw keeps things going and we go to Stoke [City] at the weekend hoping to get back to winning ways."

The draw has seen fifth-placed Tottenham move one point behind Arsenal with two games left to play this season.
