Nicola Cortese has reportedly started to consider his future as chairman of Premier League outfit Southampton.
The 44-year-old became part of the club back in 2009 and has overseen their rise from League One to the top flight over the last four years.
However, the Liebherr Trust, who own the Saints, have decided that the club should be run in a different way behind the scenes, which has left Cortese to seek assurances regarding his role, according to numerous reports.
It is believed that he will make a final decision by the end of the month.
