Sheffield Wednesday defender Martin Taylor reveals that it "means a lot" that he has continued to receive the backing of manager Dave Jones.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Martin Taylor has admitted that he has made too many mistakes during his appearances for the club this season.

The 33-year-old has played just six times for the Owls this season after several poor displays, but Taylor has revealed that he has the full support of his manager Dave Jones.

Taylor told BBC Radio Sheffield: "You never intend to make mistakes and I don't think I've been through another stage in my career where I've made so many.

"It means a lot that the manager has given me his backing because that is what you want to hear."

Taylor signed for Sheffield Wednesday from Watford during the closing days of the transfer window.
