Nigel Clough happy with Sheffield United response

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough hails his players for getting back to winning ways by beating Crawley Town 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has praised his players for getting back to winning ways in their 2-0 victory over Crawley Town on Tuesday night.

The Blades, who were beaten by Wolverhampton Wanderers on the weekend, kept alive their hopes of reaching the League Two playoffs as they came away with the points from the Broadfield Stadium.

"It was imperative to put the weekend loss behind us," Clough is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "That's why I was disappointed about the way we started because leading up to the first goal we couldn't put two passes together.

"Back to winning ways and confidence levels go high again and we can put Saturday behind us and we can look forward to the next 10-11 games."

United continue their League One campaign on Saturday with a trip to Swindon Town.
