Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes is one of five players to withdraw from the Scotland squad to face Gibraltar on Sunday.
The absence of Rhodes, as well as Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths, has left Scotland's attacking department consisting of just two recognised strikers in Steven Fletcher and Chris Martin.
Midfield duo James McArthur and James Morrison have also not travelled, while Charlie Mulgrew will return to Celtic after not featuring during Thursday's 2-2 draw with Poland.
The result at Hampden Park left Scotland unable to earn a place in the playoffs, and Gordon Strachan's men need a point in Gibraltar to mathematically ensure that they secure fourth spot in Group D.
