Poland thrash San Marino

Poland cruise to an easy away victory as they put five past San Marino.

Poland cruised to a 5-1 away victory over San Marino this evening, with goals coming from Piotr Zielinski, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Waldemar Sobota and Adrian Mierzejewski.

Poland took the lead in the 10th minute of the game when midfielder Zieliński converted a simple chance.

San Marino hit back in the 22nd minute through Ales della Valle, but it wasn't to last long as Polish winger Blaszczykowski put his side back in front straight after the restart. Poland continued to be the dominant side and they grabbed their third goal in the 33rd minute as Sobota finished neatly.

A fourth was added in the 66th minute by Zielinski for his second of the night, before Mierzejewski added his side's fifth of the game.
