Sheffiled Wednesday score two injury-time goals to beat Rotherham United

Kieran Lee scores a 97th-minute winner as Sheffield Wednesday come from behind to claim the Yorkshire derby against Rotherham United.

Sheffield Wednesday secured a dramatic late 3-2 victory at Rotherham United thanks to a Kieran Lee winner at the New York Stadium.

The home fans were creating plenty of noise early on and that almost inspired Rotherham to an opening goal after five minutes, but Matt Derbyshire was denied by Kieran Westwood from close range.

In a very open first 10 minutes, Wednesday played their part and were denied by a fine save from Emilliano Martinez as he kept out Lewis McGugan's low strike.

Rotherham thought that they had the lead shortly after when the ball ended up in the the net following a corner, but the referee ruled it out for a foul on the keeper.

The home side continued to create chances, and Derbyshire was again denied by Westwood following a header from eight yards out, while Wednesday missed a glorious chance of their own through Atdhe Nuhiu, who headed wide from inside the box.

The Millers found the breakthrough just before the hour mark as Ben Pringle drilled a half-volley flew into the bottom corner, via a deflection.

Derbyshire came close to doubling their lead later in the half with a volley which flashed inches over the bar, but it was Wednesday who scored next as Caolan Lavery headed McGugan's cross into the bottom corner five minutes from time.

However, Rotherham regained the lead just moments after the restart as Jordan Bowery slotted in Pringle's cutback.

Wednesday came back at them, though, and Nuhiu equalised with an accurate header from McGugan's cross, before Lee steered Stevie May's cutback into the bottom corner for a dramatic 97th-minute winner.
