Roma will reportedly return with a loan bid for Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez in the January transfer window.
The Spaniard was strongly linked with a move to the Serie A giants in the summer, but Real Madrid pulled the plug in the latter stages of the transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, Roma remain keen on the 26-year-old, who has made seven appearances for Real Madrid this season due to injuries to Sergio Ramos and Pepe in recent weeks.
The five-time Spain international, who is fast closing in on 100 appearances for Los Blancos, has a contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2021.
