Real Madrid are reportedly considering the possibility of using Luka Jovic as a makeweight in a deal for Napoli's Fabian Ruiz.
Jovic has failed to make a lasting impression at the Bernabeu since his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, registering just two goals in 15 La Liga appearances this term.
Furthermore, Zinedine Zidane's side have supposedly made Ruiz their top midfield priority, but are seeking ways to lower the Spaniard's price amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Goal, Real would be willing to part ways with Jovic in order to prise Ruiz away from Italy, although Napoli are said to have lowered their asking price for the midfielder from £70m to £52m.
The report also claims that the Italian outfit could be open to the offer due to the uncertain future of Arkadiusz Milik, but the striker's agent has recently claimed that he is more likely to pen fresh terms at Napoli than move elsewhere.
Ruiz has chalked up two goals and two assists in Serie A this season.
