Real Madrid remain confident that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, according to a report.
The 23-year-old has less than three months remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes and he has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos.
According to the Daily Mail, talks between Real Madrid and Mbappe's representatives have been put on hold as the Spanish giants have been briefed that the player remains undecided over his future and does not wish to disrespect his current club PSG while the season is still ongoing.
The reports adds, however, that Los Blancos are 'quietly confident' that they can persuade the Frenchman to move to La Liga this summer.
Real Madrid are set to focus fully on their pursuit of Mbappe now that Erling Braut Haaland is allegedly edging closer to a move to Manchester City.
Mbappe has been in sensational form in front of goal this season, scoring 32 goals and registering 22 assists in 40 appearances for PSG across all competitions.
