Luka Modric has reportedly been left to make his own decision on whether he remains with Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.
The 34-year-old has spent the last eight years with Los Blancos, contributing 22 goals in 333 appearances, winning one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey and four Champions League crowns in the process.
Modric's contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire in June 2021, though, and according to Mundo Deportivo, the Croatian will not be signing a fresh deal in the Spanish capital.
The report claims that the midfielder will be left to decide whether he wants to stay with Zinedine Zidane's side for the 2020-21 campaign or join a new club during the upcoming window.
Modric made over 150 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur before completing a move to Spain.
The 2018 World Cup finalist has again been a key player for Zidane's team this season, contributing five goals and five assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
