AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has cast doubts over a potential move for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.
Madrid manager Jose Mourinho had opened the door for Kaka to leave the Bernabeu, with a return to the San Siro thought to be the most likely option.
However, Galliani has described the deal as "difficult" due to the money both Madrid and Kaka are asking for.
"The Kaka operation is objectively very, very difficult. It is almost impossible," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Costs are high, and he has a very high salary."
Kaka joined Madrid in 2009 having scored 95 goals in 269 games for the Rossoneri.
