Real Madrid forward James Rodriguez has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Everton.
While the Colombia international has been included in Zinedine Zidane's plans for the current campaign, Real remain open to cashing in on the player as soon as possible.
Having previously worked with Carlo Ancelotti, the 28-year-old had been linked with a move to Napoli before the Italian club opted to part ways with the experienced boss.
However, according to reports in Spain, Ancelotti's imminent arrival at Everton could lead to the Toffees making an approach for the attacker.
The 60-year-old is expected to be given funds for the January window, potentially putting the Premier League club in a position where they could make a loan or permanent bid.
Injury has restricted Rodriguez to just five starts and four substitute outings at Los Blancos since the middle of August.
