Kylian Mbappe's proposed move to Real Madrid could trigger a transfer merry-go-round which would see Cristiano Ronaldo move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report.
With Mbappe now in the final 12 months of his PSG deal, Los Blancos are supposedly keen to strike a deal for the forward this summer as a 'gift' for returning manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Ronaldo is in a similar situation to Mbappe, as his contract with Juventus expires at the end of next season, and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner continues to be linked with a sensational return to Manchester United.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Mbappe signing for Real Madrid would lead to a three-way transfer circle between Real, Juve and PSG, as Ronaldo would then link up with the latter following Mbappe's departure.
The report adds that misfiring PSG striker Mauro Icardi would then be signed by Juventus as Ronaldo's replacement, although the Argentine has been quick to play down rumours of a summer exit recently.
Icardi formerly plied his trade in Serie A with Sampdoria and Inter Milan, registering 124 goals in 219 games during a successful spell with the latter.
