Jose Mourinho was reportedly approached by former club Real Madrid after taking the reins at Serie A giants Roma.
The Portuguese was given the boot from Tottenham Hotspur in April after trying and failing to deliver silverware to the club, and he has since taken over from Paulo Fonseca at Roma.
However, The Telegraph claims that Mourinho's former club Real Madrid touched base with him last week over the vacant role, but the 58-year-old was not interested so soon after committing himself to Roma.
Former Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane stepped down from his post for the second time last month, and the club moved quickly to reappoint Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager from Everton.
Ancelotti re-joins Los Blancos after winning the 2014 Champions League title during his first spell at the club, while Mourinho won one La Liga and one Copa del Rey title in Madrid between 2010 and 2013.
