Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse admits that his "aim" is to play for Real Madrid.

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has admitted that his "aim" is to play for Real Madrid.

It had been reported that Madrid had scouted the 26-year-old in recent weeks, and he has confessed his admiration for the Spanish outfit.

"My long-term aim is to play for the biggest clubs and I want to win the Champions League. I have loved Real Madrid ever since I was a little boy," Cisse told The Sun.

"But I am happy for now at Newcastle. They are a big club – even though they are not a Manchester United or Manchester City."

Cisse has scored 13 goals in 13 games since joining the Magpies from Freiburg in January.
