Carlo Ancelotti not interested in Lionel Messi

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti insists that he would not swap Cristiano Ronaldo for Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that he would turn down the chance to sign Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.

When questioned on the Argentine, the Italian insisted that he would not move for Messi due to Cristiano Ronaldo's standing at the Spanish club.

"If I could sign one player for Real Madrid, it wouldn't be Messi, I'd rather reinforce another position," he told Radio Capital.

"We have Cristiano, who needs Messi? God gave [Ronaldo] a special gift."

Messi is currently on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
