Zinedine Zidane granted UEFA Pro Licence

Real Madrid and France legend Zinedine Zidane, suspended from coaching last year for lacking the correct qualification, is granted his UEFA Pro Licence coaching badge.

Real Madrid and France legend Zinedine Zidane has been granted his UEFA Pro Licence coaching badge.

The World Cup and Champions League winner was suspended for three months by the Spanish Football Federation last year for coaching without the correct qualification.

He returned to work as coach of Real Madrid's reserve team, for whom his son Enzo Zidane plays, and is now free to pursue a career beyond the Bernabeu should he wish.

"Very proud to have received my coaching diploma. Mission accomplished," the 42-year-old wrote on his Instagram account.

Zidane has been tipped as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti as first-team manager at Madrid this summer.
