Real Madrid assistant coach Zinedine Zidane has revealed why his son Luca decided to become a goalkeeper.
Zidane is revered as one of the finest attacking midfielders of all time, but the World Cup-winning Frenchman explained why his son chose to become a stopper.
"When he got home to play with [older brother] Enzo, Luca would go in goal. The eldest always chooses, so Luca went in goal," Zidane told Le Buteur.
"And one day he said to me that he liked it, and that he wanted to be a keeper. He's a hard worker and he's got everything to be a success in football.
"When someone has quality they can be successful, but we'll have to wait because he's only 16."
Zidane was part of the last Real Madrid side to win the Champions League in 2002.
