Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
The 22-year-old is supposedly wanted by Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, although the Toffees' pursuit of Magalhaes appears to have been scuppered.
The Brazilian recently admitted that he is keen to move to a side capable of challenging for silverware, and Real are understood to have identified the centre-back as a potential signing.
According to AS, Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane will likely be forced to concede defeat in his pursuit of RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano, and Magalhaes would be an ideal cut-price alternative.
The report claims that Lille would be willing to part ways with the former Brazil Under-20 international, but there is the issue of Real having filled all of their non-EU player spots at this moment in time.
Magalhaes made 24 league appearances for Lille as they finished fourth in the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season.
