Luca Zidane has admitted that his Real Madrid debut 'tasted bittersweet', with the Spanish giants throwing away a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 with Villarreal on Saturday night.
Luca Zidane, who is the second son of Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, was surprisingly handed his senior debut against the Yellow Submarine on the final weekend of the 2017-18 campaign.
Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale saw Los Blancos lead 2-0 at the interval, but Luca Zidane conceded twice in the second period, and was criticised for his part in the home side's second goal.
"When I play I'm Luca, not Zidane. It tastes bittersweet, I'm proud to have made my debut with the best team in the world but the feeling of the draw is a bit bittersweet. I'll have to watch the conceded goals again, I tried my best," Luca Zidane told reporters.
Madrid will face Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final on Saturday night.
