West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has admitted that he has received encouragement from Jose Mourinho.
Clarke has received a number of plaudits so far this season for the way that his West Brom side have performed.
The latest person to get in touch with the Scot via a text message is Real Madrid manager Mourinho, who took Clarke on as a coach during his time in charge of Chelsea.
"There were some good things in it although it's private between me and Jose," Clarke told reporters. "But it was about encouragement and just to keep going and to keep working."
Clarke's team are currently third in the Premier League table with 13 matches played.
