Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets insists that Real Madrid are bigger than star player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has insisted that his side need to focus on beating Real Madrid rather than just trying to prevent Cristiano Ronaldo from scoring when the two sides meet on Sunday evening.

Ronaldo has scored consecutive trebles for the La Liga champions against Deportivo and Ajax respectively, but Busquets has told his side that they should not concentrate on stopping Ronaldo.

Busquets told Channel Cuatro: "Our aim is to be better than Real Madrid, not just Cristiano Ronaldo. We can't focus on just one player.

"And we have to be alert at all times. Paying attention for just 88 minutes is worth nothing."

Barcelona can extend their lead over Real Madrid in La Liga to 11 points if they can win on Sunday.
