Gareth Bale pleased with team performance

Gareth Bale praises his Real Madrid teammates following Saturday's 5-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Gareth Bale has praised his Real Madrid teammates following Saturday's 5-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

The attacker scored twice in the rout at the Bernabeu, but the 24-year-old has insisted that it was the 'team performance' that pleased him the most.

"We reacted and worked as a team. That's what we did today and we're happy with the result," Inside Spanish Football quotes the Welshman as saying.

"Now all we're thinking about is Borussia Dortmund. It will be a great game, this is what you play football for. I saw the ball, I ran a lot, I was lucky and didn't think when I shot it. I'm very happy."

Bale has scored 12 league goals for Los Blancos this season.
