Cordoba beat Real Madrid Castilla to move sixth

Cordoba move into the playoff places in the Segunda Division by beating Real Madrid Castilla 2-0 at the Nuevo Arcangel today.

Cordoba have moved into the playoff places in the Segunda Division courtesy of a 2-0 win over Real Madrid Castilla at the Nuevo Arcangel today.

Following an insipid first half in which neither team could find the breakthrough, the hosts struck on 53 minutes through defender Daniel Pinillos.

The La Liga hopefuls then doubled their advantage on the hour mark courtesy of a Pedro strike.

Castilla couldn't find a way back into the match in the remaining time as Cordoba held out for the victory that moves them up to sixth in the table.
