Paco Jemez: 'I could leave Rayo Vallecano next summer'

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez claims that one particular supporters group could lead him to depart the capital club next summer.

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has admitted that he could be forced to leave the La Liga side at the end of the season due to a section of the club's supporters.

Jemez, who has been linked with the Spain position after Euro 2016, has been at Rayo since 2012 and is a popular figure with the majority of fans.

However, one particular group, "The Bukaneros", have taken exception to the team's performances this season and Jemez has said that it is harming their form on the field.

"The Bukaneros don't encourage, only harm the team, and I told them that. That's why this year is harder. I don't deny them the right, but, for me, it's a great pity," Jemez told Marca.

"This was a place where people had a great time and the Bukaneros were a leading voice in the singing. Now it is nothing like that. As a Rayo fan it's a shame what is happening. It's one of the reasons I might not stay here next year."

Jemez led Rayo to their best-ever La Liga finish in the 2012-13 season, with the capital side ending the campaign in eighth position.
