Danny Gabbidon is training with Queens Park Rangers ahead of a potential move to Loftus Road.
The 31-year-old is a free agent after seeing out his contract at West Ham United and has joined the club on their pre-season tour of the West Country.
"I am training with QPR and let's see what happens," the Welsh international told Sky Sports.
"I have been impressed by the manager's ideas for the club and what he intends to do in the Premier League next season."
Gabbidon's agent, Jamie Moralee, claims his client had many offers from both home and abroad, but QPR's invitation was too good to turn down.
"When he heard about the interest from QPR, he wanted to meet the manager and join up and train with the squad as it's exciting times there," he said.
Gabbidon has won 44 caps for Wales and was part of the West Ham side who were FA Cup runners up to Liverpool in 2006.
