Chris Ramsey 'sick for his players' after succumbing to Arsenal defeat

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey feels "genuinely sick" for his players after they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has expressed his disappointment at losing 2-1 at home to Arsenal, claiming that he feels "genuinely sick" for his players.

Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez put the Gunners two goals up in the second half at Loftus Road, with Charlie Austin's strike in the 82nd minute proving too little too late for the R's.

Ramsey told BBC Sport: "We played very well but you cannot keep being unlucky and sorry that you lost the game. Detail has cost us and I am genuinely sick for the players. I thought they gave everything but at this level it is the detail that matters.

"We can't keep relying on Charlie Austin. It is fantastic that he had a few shots, and he worked tirelessly for the team, but we need to start creating opportunities for a few other people.

"Overall the performance was good and I am sick we could not at least get something out of the game."

The result keeps struggling QPR 18th in the Premier League table.
