Cardiff City bounced back from their mini-slump of form to thrash Peterborough United this evening.
After a scrappy opening 34-minute period, which was continually interrupted by the referee's whistle, Cardiff struck three goals in six minutes.
Slightly against the against the run of play, Peter Whittingham got the first. The Bluebirds captain scored directly from an in-swinging corner, which deceived goalkeeper Joe Lewis and crept inside the far post.
From another corner, the lead was doubled four minutes later. Whittingham found Rudy Gestede and, unchallenged, the Frenchman powered home.
Haris Vuckic, on loan from Newcastle United, then waltzed through the Posh defence and calmly slotted home.
The game was over by half time, but Paul Taylor made the score look more respectable by tapping in his ninth goal of the season in stoppage time.
Darren Ferguson's men are now without a win in their last eight games.
