Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov is reportedly a transfer target for Serie A side Palermo.
The 35-year-old is available on a free transfer after his deal with Greek side PAOK expired, and it is understood that the former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker is not yet ready to retire.
A number of clubs are believed to be considering contract offers and according to Tuttopalermo.net, Palmero are among the interested clubs as they seek striking reinforcements for the 2016-17 campaign.
Berbatov started his professional career with CSKA Sofia, before representing Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham, Man United, Fulham, AS Monaco and PAOK, where he scored four league goals last season.
Davide Ballardini resigned as Palermo boss just two games into the new season after a disagreement over transfer activity in the summer.
