Dougie Freedman: 'We'll fight to keep Michail Antonio, Henri Lansbury'

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman says that the club will do everything in their power to keep Michail Antonio and Henri Lansbury at the City Ground this summer.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has insisted that the club will do all that they can to keep hold of prize assets Michail Antonio and Henri Lansbury during the summer.

The Reds have turned down two bids for Lansbury from Premier League side Burnley and fended off interest from another top-flight side in West Bromwich Albion for Antonio in January.

Freedman says that while he wants to do what is best for Forest financially, he is not in a rush to sell either player.

"It is very important that we try to build a side around certain individuals and that we make sure they are still at the football club," the Reds boss told the Nottingham Post.

"We think very highly of certain players here, who we believe we can build around, and they are certainly two of them."

Antonio has been nominated for March's Championship Player of the Month award.
