Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce's job 'not under threat'

Stuart Pearce's job as Nottingham Forest manager is not under immediate threat, according to a report.

Stuart Pearce's job as Nottingham Forest manager is reportedly not under immediate threat.

Reports on Saturday claimed that the 52-year-old's position was in doubt following his side's FA Cup third-round exit at the hands of Rochdale.

The Reds have also struggled in the Championship recently, picking up just two wins from their last 17 games.

However, Pearce retains the support of influential members of the club's hierarchy, including chief executive Paul Faulkner and club ambassador John McGovern, according to the Nottingham Post.

Pearce's future rests in the hands of owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, but it is thought that Faulkner and McGovern want to bring stability to the club, with Pearce being the sixth man to take charge at the City Ground in the past two years.

The former England Under-21 boss became Forest manager in July.
