Matt Jarvis to join Norwich City permanently from West Ham United

Matt Jarvis will join Norwich City on a three-and-a-half year contract when the transfer window opens after the Canaries agreed a reported £2.5m fee with West Ham United.

Norwich City have agreed to sign Matt Jarvis on a permanent deal from fellow Premier League side West Ham United when the transfer window opens next month.

The winger is currently on loan with the Canaries but has now agreed a three-and-a-half year contract that will kick in on January 2.

Jarvis, who is out with a medial knee ligament injury at the moment, has made seven appearances for Norwich and scored twice, including on his debut in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth in September.

Speaking to the Canaries' website, Jarvis said: "It's nice to get it done before the window opens as the club have shown they really wanted me. I had a great start here and hopefully I'll be back up-and-running soon for the rest of the season.

"My first game especially was great. To get out in front of the home fans and score in a win was a perfect start which carried on for a while.

"Unfortunately I then picked up an injury but I'm desperate to get back fully-fit, and back playing. To get the deal sorted is really nice and I'm looking forward to helping the team as soon as I can."

It is reported that Norwich will pay around £2.5m for the 29-year-old, who joined West Ham in 2012 for a then club-record £10.75m from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Jarvis scored six goals in 90 games for the Hammers.
