West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that he expects Andy Carroll to remain at the club during the January transfer window.
Carroll has been beset by injuries throughout his West Ham career so far and has managed just 10 appearances and one goal for the club this season.
He is, however, expected to return from his latest setback against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, and Bilic insists that the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker remains in his plans.
"I don't think [he will be sold]. We need players. We need him fit and we need him back," Bilic is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"He's a big weapon for us and he fits into my attacking plans."
Bilic also revealed that he is planning to talk to James Collins about the prospect of a new contract, with the defender's current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
